Sancia Villa

The villa is located in the upcoming residential area of Hyderabad, with its high-end villas and all new residential developments in the vicinity. Acquired as a large empty shell, the space consisted of a G+2 structure.

The designer’s response was to create a series of contemporary contexts that are distinct and knit up with the home owner’s personalities. The house consists of a foyer, kitchen, dining, a family living, bedrooms and a home theatre room. These spaces are conceived as independent elements, lined with customised timber joinery and wall finishes to
create a distinctive atmosphere and identity to each area.

The Clients required a home to suit their lifestyle and being a family of three, the couple and their toddler, the house was designed to be child-safe and also being a space that could host close family and friends over the weekends. The requirement was to keep the budget at the minimum and also use smart material substitutions to arrive at the
design solution while not compromising on the quality of any material.

The use of marble in the ground floor living area and the TV back wall in a naturalist wallpaper brings life into the space where the family spends most of their time. The open kitchen overlooking the dining in the heart of the house gives easy access and forms a transition between the 2 floors of the house.

The designer succeeded in creating a rather brilliant look for the large home theatre and bar area on the second floor. ample seating on the recliners and the floor all cushioned up.
